This survey was adapted from a National PTA Survey and Center for Effective Parenting Survey.

Safety of my children

Feel free to contact by phone or email any of the principals to discuss specific concerns. 

We do have systems in place to make all students feel safe without instilling a sense of fear.

How many students?

1538 on 4/30/09

 

Breakdown of students by rank by grade point averages…different percentages

Students are ranked at the end of the senior year.

Honors weights are not used to calculate the "Official GPA".

  The "Official GPA" is calculated by counting Advanced Placement

  courses  using the 5 point weighted scale and Regular and Honors

  courses using the 4 point scale.  The Honors 4.5 weighted scale

  is added to the calculation only to determine "Rank in Class".

 

Is the school clean enough? Custodians spray each classroom with a disinfectant. 

Two restrooms have been remodeled.  The other restrooms are on a "to be remodeled" list.

 

What is being done about the drug problem?

Have your child stop by the library to get pass codes for the testing databases and access ids and passwords for online reference databases.  If your child has a gaggle account it was emailed to each student.
